Friday evening was our Poker 'N' Ponies event, so Molly and I sat outside from 3-7:30PM taking entries after we got the scratches and changes put in online. We had 393 of 400 slots taken, so it was a pretty good turnout.
After doing that and waiting for any late arrivals, I went upstairs to the Press Box to make some entry forms for the Virginia Derby 5k Run that was to be held the next day. I also had to call up Delaware Park for some win photos of Nicanor. Darrell was pretty certain that he was coming for the Virginia Derby and, because he's Barbaro's full brother, a lot of media attention will be on him and we needed photos of him right away. I couldn't get in contact with anyone, however, and I don't think anyone's been able to reach them since I first tried five days ago.
Darrell had a hotel lined up for me that night, so I arrived there at about 10:30 with a wake-up call of 4:30am.
